Terms and Conditions – Parents/Students

Alco Tutors aims to provide our clients with the most suitable and reliable tutors.

Agreement between our clients and Alco Tutors for the engagement of our tutors is based on verbal or online confirmation.

Upon the confirmation to engage a tutor, the client has to engage the tutor for a full one-month based on the number of lessons and hours agreed upon.

Alco Tutors strives to ensure that the information supplied to you is as honest and accurate possible. However, we are unable to provide any gurantee for the accuracy of all information that was supplied the tutors themselves.

Our tutors should be responsible and committed towards the tuition assignments in terms of punctuality and attendance. Should there be any issue, kindly alert us.

Our clients have the responsibility to ensure that the tutor’s qualifications and credentials are of satisfactory level.

Alco Tutors charge our tutors a one-time commission charge of 50% of the 1st month’s tuition fee based on the current market practice unless otherwise stated.

Upon completion of the 2nd lesson (for once a week lesson) or 4th lesson (for twice a week lesson), we will issue our clients an invoice.

Clients will have to pay 50% of the tuition fees to Alco Tutors and the remaining 50% of the tuition fees to be paid the tutor upon the completion of the 4th lesson (for once a week lesson) or 8th lesson (for twice a week lesson)

From the 2nd month onwards, our clients will pay the tutor 100% of the tuition fees.

Clients may request for a change of tutor if the assigned tutor is found unsatisfactory. Clients will have to pay for the number of lessons rendered. If it is still within the first month, client will have to pay 50% to Alco Tutors and the other 50% to the tutor on pro-rata tuition fees.

Payments to Alco Tutors can be made via cheque or funds tranfer (refer to details on invoice)

Cheques to be made payable to “Alco Education & Consultancy Services”

Our tutors have no rights or authority to alter the commissions or tuition fees in any way without the knowledge of Alco Tutors. Kindly notify Alco Tutors if any of our tutors try to bypass the tuition agency.

Note: Any misuse of the information supplied may lead to legal actions taken against you.

Terms and Conditions – Tutors

Registration is free at Alco Tutors and we reserve the rights to reject any application.

You must be Singaporean, Permanent Resident or holding a valid student pass and be at least 18 years old to register with Alco Tutors.

Acceptance of assignments between you and Alco Tutors is based on verbal or online confirmation.

Tutors must be responsible and committed to the accepted assignment.Upon confirmation of a tuition assignment, failure to turn up for the first lesson or request to cancel the assignment due to various reasons will result in a bad credit rating. It will be accessed based on a case-by-case basis.Tutors should ensure that the personal particulars and academic qualifications provided are genuine. If there is any discrepancy, the assignment will be terminated immediately.

Tutors should present the academic qualifications for verification upon request from Alco Tutors or our clients.

From the 2nd month onwards, tutors will receive 100% of the tuition fees upon completion of lessons.

Tutors should not bypass our agency to negotiate rates with parent/ family.

Alco Tutors do not encourage termination of assignments for invalid reasons. However, tutors need to inform our agency beforehand if you wish to terminate the assignment so that the agency can get a replacement tutor.
